Hello Everyone,

I've got a 2015 AR240. I'm running on Lake Huron (Great Lakes) at 500ft Sea Level. I can't seem to get my engines to hit 7500 RPM's. I'm getting 7200 on the Port and about 7300 on the Starboard. I'm running 91 Octane currently because I had issues in the past with Ethanol being in the 87 Octane on my AR210. I'm wondering if the timing on the ECU isn't liking the 91 Octane.? Anyone else have experience with the 2015 getting higher RPM's?

I also am barely hitting 7300. Top speed is 45. We run the Illinois river.

I'm wondering if 7300 is the new max on the 2015? My top speed is about 48mph with half a tank of gas and two people. What Octane are you running?

I can get 7640 on port and 7490 on starboard with mine and get around 51 with 4 adults and Bimini up and 2 wakeboards hanging off the racks
Hey Greg, What Octane gas are you running?

There is another identical thread on this problem. You only need 87 octane and should be seeing at least 51mph.

Thanks. I'm going to try the intake spacer from RIVA and new air filters.

Unless you are high altitude I wouldn't waste money on all that. Most people say really didn't help much at all.

Fair enough. However it doesn't quite make sense why I can't get to 7500 RPM and only 48 MPH...

I'd change the plugs first. Then if that doesn't help, remove the air filters and run without them. If that improves your performance, then consider buying aftermarket intakes. Boats didn't used to have air filters, and some choose to run without them...not much dust in the air on the water where I boat.

I believe some members had the same performance and found out they have the California approved versions that make less power.

I've got the SAT1800a-PP which I believe is the 3star model (non California model)
