The air pump for our tube is so loud, I hate to run the thing. I decided to fix the problem permanently. Using an automotive relay, a boston valve and a rocker switch, I can now activate the pump from the swim platform. The pump stays under the seat and is much quieter.

Nice! Great idea.

Buying a few more parts you can have that system deflate also.

@Jebinok How would you do that?
Add another boston valve to feed the air intake?

That would be the easiest and cheapest.

Very cool modification! Adding this to the FAQ!

I would like to see more pics of this setup and how it works. How do you connect the boston valve from the boat to the inflatable? Do you have a hose that screws into the boston valve?

I'll work on getting some pictures and a write up.

I ordered the boston valve from Overtons
I picked up a change over coupling in the plumbing dept that goes from threaded copper to PVC. It screws onto the boston valve from inside.
I used white silicone sealant (not adhesive) around the switch and where the air tube goes into the coupling.
I'll have better info when I post the pictures.
