I've been researching posts about the drains letting water in, so I was looking at mine on my 2009 212ss and mine does not appear to have a drain in the locker. Mine does have a rough, none uniform hole that looks like the anchor may have hit it and knocked the hole in it. I've only had the boat a few months, so this is my first time studying it.
Shouldn't it have a more uniform hole? Is it possible someone did a patch job on the inside of the locker and covered the original hole up? This one is in line with the outside drain, because as we were sitting floating, I could see water moving back and forth thru the hole and it was making the anchor rope wet. I was hoping I could stick a plug in it from the inside, but that's not possible.
Here are some pics, not the best as it was hard to get my phone in there. I placed a quarter next to it for size.
Thanks.
