Has anyone ever repaired or replace a bent bow rail? I purchased my boat with a bent rail on the starboard side and it is bent enough where it is annoying me. Was wondering if anyone has had any success removing it to replace or repair. I looked up at the nut holding it in place and it is in a very difficult angle to easily remove.

Yamaha sports plaza out of Seattle is another possible source. I've bought stock grab rails from them to install next to the anchor locker hatch.

The access to the bow rails is through / behind the seats in the bow. A small adult can get to them with a lot of contortion but a kid around 4 feet tall would have a much easier time with it. I've sent mine up there to tighten the nuts holding my now rails in place with a deep socket wrench.

Thanks guys! I will continue with the replacement route. Now I just have to convince my son to slip in that compartment to loosen the nut.

make sure to use some locktite on it when you reinstall, he may grow to much by the time it comes loose again!

And make sure he goes in well clothed....the raw fiberglass in there is a BEAR! Not sure if you have speakers or cup holders in the area that might make access easier...but consider that if you do...
