Can anyone recommend an onboard charger for dual batteries. I want something that will not over charge. Any help is appreciated.

@ChargerGuy guy may have something to reccomend for you.

This is 190 but you get the idea.

It would be dependent on type of battery also. As other stated @ChargerGuy is where I bought mine cheaper and no issues with it yet. The NOCO GCP-1 is awesome and convenient.

went with the same combo, but mounted on the other side due to how my boat is docked. Pics attached :)

I have a 2 bank 12a guest for $81 shipped that I could offer. Same one Julian just picked up from me. I also have a 30 amp 2 bank for $112, but that may be overkill.
thanks!

@ChargerGuy You offer some great deals. I think it has been mentioned that you sell refurbs. Nothing wrong with that at all
IMO but as an electronics hobbiest I was wondering how they refurb potted electronics? Are they just removing everything and reusing the case, were they not potted to begin with, reselling customer returns that there was nothing wrong with once they tested, or is there something more to it?

@Mainah Excellent question!
The sealed units are not actually refurb. They are open box returns, tested by the factory. At best they may have to replace an inline DC fuse, hence the reason they call it refurbished.
thanks!
Jason

@ChargerGuy Thanks for the insight. Of course retailers have no way of testing these so they end up back at the manufacturer. Wonder how many are single use type returns (rhetorical). If just a fuse then the issue was with the load or wiring (battery/boat wiring).

NOCO and Minnkota may be the standard but they are much more money and there can't be much varaition beyond being potted/sealed (I think the ones you mentioned above are). As long as they produce the rated current with proper wave rectification for the battery chemistry type and turn off when they should then they are doing the same job.

I have sold Noco/Minnkota/Guest/Promariner/Charles and a few others. I tend to lean toward the guest and promariner chargers these days based on customer feedback. But really it is like coke vs pepsi in some cases.

Right now I am sold out of Promariner prosport. I have the Guest 2 bank 12 amp for $81. Same company as promariner an in the same good quality level.
I do have a promariner protournament 300 2 bank 230 amp for $112 shipped. This one is a Porsche model. Left over and a prior gen. Was $400 new.
thanks!
