The Blue Angels will be in Pensacola on July 8th and they're scheduled to start flying at 2 pm. Meeting up with another jetboater and planning on launching in Fort Walton Beach at Ross Marler Park at around 10 am. Will be taking the intra coastal waterway the 33 miles to Pensacola, watch the air show, and go back after it's done. Wondering if anyone wants to join us. @Coheeba @ToddW850 - are you guys interested?

I'm definitely in @blackhawkpilot . We are departing just a little earlier. @Michael Kruger is meeting me in the ICW out from The Gulf restaurant. It's near Brooks Bridge and right next to Marler Park, where you are launching.

We are meeting at around 0900 hours. I normally don't leave that early in the past. However, in the past it seems we get there, anchor, blow up rafts and eat and are rushed before the first part of the show starts. This time, I hope to blow up rafts, eat, and lounge for a little bit before the show. The first planes start at noon. Blue Angels at 2pm.

I say 0900, but truth be told it will probably be 0915 before we depart the location. That will put us on scene at nearly 1030 and about an hour and a half to hang before the show. If you adjust your time, let me know and we will wait. Same with you @fireflymedic

I will be at the RV park on pcola beach haven't diecied if we are going to bring the boat or not but if we do please let me where y'all plan on rafting up and I will swing by

Here is a 60 second shot of the Blue Angels last week in Ocean City MD. The video does not do justice to their show viewed live. The overcast-ness also put a damper on things. It was also fun for my kids to meet the pilots and the team at the meet and greet after the show.

And my little ERAU pilot with the Commander of the Blue Angels.

I'm familiar with The Gulf restaurant. I'm not sure we can be there by 9:00. We plan to eat on the boat, so if I'm eating while watching airplanes fly over, I'm OK with that.
Thanks to your wife for sending us the real estate listings. She sure did a good job of sending us some great places. After a couple of 2-3 hour trips to Destin/FWB, we decided to look a little closer to home and found a place in PCB at Bay Point. Closing later this week and plan to be there over the next couple of weekends.

We will be in the inter coastal as well but we live directly across the water so won't be out till lunch or so.

Roger that.

And the plan is to be anchored up in this area. Look for us or shoot my wife a text or call. Blue Angels will fly right over our heads in this area. I was a tad to far East last year.

Thanks for all the GREAT info. We plan to make the show this year but will likely get there right before lunch. I will be coming out of the CESSNA launch across the bay. CRAB Island THURSDAY then air show on SATURDAY. We usually have a pontoon in the past so looking at making better time this year with the Yamaha.

We'll be camping at Ft. Pickens in our RV and planning to see the show. For the locals in the area, is that a good place to see it or do we need to be closer to Pensacola for a prime spot? We're not gonna have our boat so does anyone want to meet on land?

Fort Pickens will be too far away to see anything good with the show. You might have an occasional jet fly over as he's getting set for the next move. @Scott griffith might be able to confirm.

But from what I'm told, they use the Pensacola Beach water tower as a focal point for the show. I can tell you this, last year some of the parking lots started filling up by 6AM.

Will do. We were just east of your yellow circle last year and I thought it was the perfect spot for viewing. It also got us away from the congestion for a quick getaway when the show was over. The intra coastal was VERY choppy on the way back.

Funny. We were just east of that circle last year too, haha. But yes, the chop of all the boats leaving is bad until you get back to the Navarre Bridge.

Yes they the fishing pier as there center point and yes that will be a little to far to see up close but you cld ride the trolley to casino parking lot and watch then rode back

I will be in PC,Fl for the whole month of July and I may try to see if I could make it over there.

Well boat and truck fueled up and ready to go. I plan on leaving around 7am should get me at Ross marler park, 1275 Santa Rosa Blvd, around 9 so no one will be waiting on me. May have a pretty full boat so hope I can keep up in the water.

@fireflymedic - I don't think we're going to make it. My buddy baled out on me last night and we've been down in PCB all this week. Heading home today. I recommend you hook up with one of the other guys that is going. @ToddW850 maybe?

I couldnt make it today, wife left back to dallas and i didn't want to trek 100 miles with the kids by myself.
