Boat show in raleigh this weekend

I plan on swing by - not sure when though. A guessing Sunday as well.

can you buy boats at a show? Do you just tow them away?

I got a boat. Dont need another

We were thinking about going but when I talked to the guys at Chatlee they weren't taking any old '16 Yamaha's and tying up their floor space and the 17's won't be available yet so they're only showing their other makes and models. I'm sure all vendors will be doing the same. It may still be worth checking out though

[USERGROUP=19]@NC_Mid_Atlantic[/USERGROUP] Anyone going?

I'm on a daddy daughter weekend and need every spare minute to work on the the new Yamaha line up preview info...(5 days left)

Lol I'm in the same spot have a work function in in Charlotte I'm taking the daughter to.

If the Admiral catches me going to a boat show...

Heck I'm going, I've got to go into Raleigh tomorrow anyway. Falls Lake for me Saturday!

I email Chattlee but haven't heard from them. Chattlee has a lot of floor space.

I know there wont be anything great there but I love boats.....

I should be on Falls saturday too.....near the Marina...usually in the north end of the big lake area unless its windy and too choppy. Then we head towards tree swing cove area (2nd cove towards the marina from New Light Road-IE west of New Light).

I am hoping to find some cool new accessories and mod ideas.

So do i... but it's a boat show!a BOAT SHOW! Is there any other explication needed?

I agree ! I usually go to the spring show. brings on a bad case of 2footitis then there's those damn Grady-whites !!

I'll be there, trying to go this evening, if not then I'll go Sunday morning.

We checked it out Friday night. It was a good show but I wasn't blown away. Like @Jet Blue, I was hoping for some accessories and mod ideas for our latest purchase but it was just boats. Don't get me wrong, lots of gorgeous boats out there but I'm not in the market for a boat anymore. Lots of '16's across all styles with steep discounts and a bunch of new '17's throughout. Chatlee had the majority of the floor space by a landslide but lots of good vendors representing. Chatlee brought their last 242 Limites S E series with a couple thousand off as their "show special" but aside from that there were no other Yammies.

We saw the HeyDay Inboard guys there; "interesting" boat to say the least. I remember there was a thread on here a few weeks back discussing them. Definitely an acquired taste. image.jpeg

We stopped by the ProMarine booth and they had some wake and surf boards on sale but not much of their stock was at the show however we did get their card and they told us they would hook us up with some deals when we stop by their shop. Looked like they had some good deals on boards and boots.

All in all for my first boat show I wasn't blown away but for $7 it was cool to see what all is out there in the market.

I'll be on Falls Sunday. Looks like I'll be solo!

I went this afternoon and the Heyday is what caught my eye. Mostly because of how different it looked.
I talked with one of the salesmen for 30-45 min and agreed it was a good niche that they were trying to reach-those who want to wake surf but not spend $100k. The boat is only 17' short and makes a good wave for $40-60k. I watched some videos on YouTube and the wave is as good if not better than a 23' Super Air Nautique I've surfed behind and definitely better than a Moomba I've surfed.
I just don't understand why most wakeboard boats don't come with anchor lockers.

Very underwhelming show. How hard is it to get a few lift/dock and accessory vendors in there to show off their products as well.
It helped me confirm though that I did the right thing and buy my Chaparral Jet. Couldn't find one boat I liked better than the one in my slip.
Wife did see one boat she liked a lot and it happened to be the only Yamaha in the entire place and it had a sold sign on it (only sold sign I saw so chalk one up for the jets!). Figured I would take a quick picture for all my Yamaha friends. Anyone on here pull the trigger on this? She was a beauty.
