I didn’t even laugh when I saw the first pic I know how fast that can happen!

I was anchored on the Gulf side of Shell island one day, I got something out of the boat and walked up to where our chairs were. When I got to the chairs I heard a wave hit that didn’t sound right...it was a wave hitting the side of the boat! The anchor came loose and the boat was sitting sideways not quite as bad as this one pictured. Us 4 and some random guy walking along the beach pushed and pushed and finally got it pointed in the right direction I jumped in and got it started and shot sand all out the pumps getting it off the shore.

So Scott....you can't leave us hanging....was this you...or were you just saying...you might have done something similar?

On our first trip down to the intercoastal here in NC, we pulled up to a busy sand bar north of Wrightsville and anchored. My wife and daughter went off wandering across the sand bar looking for sand dollars but I wasn't quite comfortable just leaving the boat alone. My first mistake was not looking at the tide charts to know if the tide was coming in or out. But I quickly realized it was on its way out as I notice my boat wasn't moving any more! Fortunately these boats aren't super heavy and I caught it right away.....but that was one of those OH SHIT moments when you wonder....."am I gonna be that guy?" I jumped into action and pushed with all my might and she gently slid back into floating....I was lucky as the stern of the boat was much deeper than the bow. Had I been on less of an incline....I would have needed LOTS of help!
