Egmont key off st pete beach mothers day 2015

I would like to go to Egmont key also. Unfortunately my boat is in the shop until next week, but i would like to hear about your trip ! Have fun!!

be real careful, stingrays everywhere out there this time of year .

Yep.. saw lots of rays but had no close calls. Went out to a few keys and ran thru a whole tank of fuel. Can anyone recommend a dry dock in the area?

I will have to show you around the area some time I have been boating here since I move here in 1972 when I was 20 years old. I raised my 4 kids out on shell key and now my 11 grand children like it out on the water also. Well most of them anyway. I just spent 3 days out there the gulf water is already in the 80s, just wait until you experience one of the wicked storms we get here in the summer, actually one is blowing through that exact area right now.

I'm just an hour or so south of you guys. Would love to trailer up and get a tour :)

Ok with me I run around the area all the time. There is a public boat ramp called Maximo park right off 275 north of the skyway. It is a new ramp they just replaced the entire thing and better yet it's free. It takes you to the main channel of the skyway causeway and from there you can go just about anyplace.

I would be up for that !
The only area that I'm familiar with so far is Anclote Key.

I'm always by the Tierra Verde bridge

Actually we maybe. I'm watching the weather to see how the winds and if rain will come

Doesn't look too bad. We will be leaving tierra verde marina around 9am and be there most of the day. Will prob head back and hit Bunces Pass then catch Sunset at the north end of Shell Island
