Favorite Summer Beer?

Update on home brew, bottled the brew and when open bottles past 3 weeks it was fully carbonated. At 2 weeks it was slightly carbonated. No off flavors. I was happy 1st batch was successful.View attachment 145784

What does it taste like? What were you aiming for? Is it more like a harpy IPA, Wheaty, Ale???

This was an English pale ale. So it’s more sour/ bitter. 4.5. - 5% ABV. Next batch, I will attempt a porter. The kit was from brewer’s best.

Whiteclaw or any spiked seltzer
I never cared for spiked seltzer, but if it's summer and i'm social drinking, then whiteclaw is the choice. I can drink 10 of those and wake up the next day without a hangover or any ill effect. Other beers would leave me sick for almost the entire day.

Another boat of Seltzer drinkers here. Platform has great seltzers, their shandys (shandies??) , and ciders are also warm weather favorites.

Normally I stick to microbrews, but you can't go wrong with a Corona on a hot day! I also like a Sam Adams Cold Snap, but that's only around in the springtime so I guess it doesn't count.

Favorite beer? Guiness/Blue Moon (Black and Blue)

On the boat on a hot day? Bush Light

I've been drinking these in the summer: DogFish Beer.

Same Calories as a light beer but tastes a whole lot better. Drink Ice cold.

Found these at the local liquor store and gave them a try. Pretty refreshing, and didn't hit too hard. Easy to find in cans as well.

Goose Island Summertime is excellent. A Kolsch style beer with some citrus hints. Kind of like a lemon shandy but not so fruity.

How close do those taste to real IPAs? I’ve seen a few brewerys putting those out but haven’t tried any.

The athletic brews are fantastic. They are not cheap, but you can enjoy the full IPA taste without the booze. Highly recommend but just watch the carbs if you’re trying to drop weight.
