Fogging question

So I fogged my engine yesterday, and no matter how much I sprayed the engine would not die like I've seen in videos. It would struggle and smoke like you'd expect but I was surprised I couldn't kill it.

Does it matter? I just shut it off and spraying a few times.

I don't think you want it to die because then you have to quickly turn off the water. After turning off the water or antifreeze, you want to give a few good revs of the engine to expell as much liquid as possible. Then turn it off and you are done.

I have only been able to kill my engine with fogging oil by using two cans at once.

I spray the fogging oil where the PCV hose comes into the air intake. I think its the PCV hose. My motor dies every time. I don't think you need that much fogging oil to achieve the desired results. I spay every cylinder through the spark plug opening and I think that's the most important area that might get some rust on it.
