Front Ladder extension available?

I searched for something similar but found nothing. I noticed on the front ladder that there is about 1-2 full rungs missing to make boarding from water easy. The rear has enough due to it's lower mounting point relative to the water surface. But up front, it's all arms until your nearly cresting the bow. Any solutions out there like a full replacement with a ladder of slimmer design but more rungs? Or has this been thought out and it just ain't happening due to available space under the hatch?

I think the bow ladder is more designed for crawling in/out of the boat while beached, on the trailer, etc. not from deep water, that's what the stern ladder is for. That's my take on it anyway, sorry no help I know!

Interested and now watching this hoping someone has a solution. I can use the bow ladder just fine but my wife and girl friends would use it more if it was a little longer.

I don't think there is room unless you switched to a rope ladder or something. I haven't seen it in my days anyways. I am sure it would be a custom piece.

Was thinking the same thing Speedling. I know Californians are very accepting of others but didn't realize they were that accepting.

Correction, my wife's girlfriends. I had and tried a rope ladder on the 230 I used to own (which didn't have a bow ladder at all), that thing was hard for me to use and therefore don't think it is a viable replacement to the oem bow ladder.

I'm hoping there is a solution. Even just one additional rung could make it far more usable. I believe there is room for one additional rung under that hatch. Well, here's to hoping.
I'd imagine they sell fairly well especially if it's an add-on deal.

It's all good info and I agree, but I find it never gets used for those purposes as I rarely beach my boat (usually use an anchor buddy with the stern facing shore), and on the trailer I use my TV to get in from the bow.

Curious....why is the rear ladder not an option?

The only time thus far that my bow ladder has been used is:

1. Me boarding from the trailer
2. Kids using it when they are jumping off the bow a lot.

Fair question. It IS an option and we use it 100% of the time since the front is NOT an option. I simply will never use the front ladder while in open water due to it's length and I want to change that. We often times anchor randomly in a lake and just float around it, it would be nice to get in the front if desired. When I bought the boat, I saw the front loading as a really cool feature, but I have found it 99% useless over a regular boat that does not have a front ladder. I think I used it once this year and even then I could have just swing my leg over the bow an slid in.

Gotcha....I only ever looked at is as a beach boarding ladder. But have found it useful for boarding from the trailer while launching.
