Looking at my boat, this winter is going to include gel coat repairs from all the learning marks and just use in general. I have posted at least one of these videos before, these vids are about repairing the non skid surface and there are others on his channel showing how to do smooth gel coat repairs. In one of the other videos he has, he talks about mixing up a batch of color matched gel coat to have on hand to make small repairs during the season.

While you may not learn anything from me, it's good to see a Wisconsinite who has a few brains in his head 😁

The funny thing of his vid about making the non skid mold is when he talks about the cost of the gibco mold and how his is less expensive.

For the DIY guy, having to buy all that stuff is expensive right off the bat, so making sure you have a use for it can soften that blow.

Any damage to your trailer from the hail that could benefit from the materials? Can that hatch be glassed for a fix?

Negative on the trailer repair…well maybe I’ll let you know.

You can apply the PVA with a household sprayer, so you really don’t need a paint pot. I already have some mixing cups and such some other gel coat and fiberglass glass work on the hard top that has to get mounted

As I mentioned previously where he talked about making up a quart of gel coat that hasn’t been activated with a harder and keeping it around makes it pretty easy to make repairs on those nicks and scratches that you will probably get during a boat season if you’re out there using your boat. These things happen when you use your boat you’re gonna get Nick and scratches in it, I’m hoping to learn how to do the gelcoat stuff and have it be as easy as I’m told which will make those small repairs very easy.
