Not going to pile on here but how can anything be scary at idle speed? Slow is Pro. Learn It, Live It, Love It!

Actually let me just add in one other thing. With very little effort anyone can push the throttle WO and go straight but it takes Skill, Patience and PRACTICE to go slow and those who know, know. Those who don't blame the boat.

I think there are also many forces at play and you must watch for all. Wind And Current play a big role. It's important to consider them too, and also realize you might not be perfect everytime, you need the confidence to start over if the approach is bad

We can fill a whole thread or three on docking advise, but these boats are VERY maneuverable.
