This will be my 3rd boat but my first jet boat!
Been circling on this forum gather information.
I was going back and forth with the AR240 and the 242 LS
I really wanted the 242 for the added upgrades (mainly swim deck speakers) but didn’t like the price tag!
Almost pulled the triggered on a new 2016 ar240 but then found someone selling a New-Used 2015 242 Limited S for the same price!
3 Hours on it, 4 year Yamaha YES warranty, it’s been sitting inside his shop……. Seller added all the upgrades I wanted
JL Sound System, 2 JL Amps, 2 JL Tower Speakers, 6 JL Speakers
Battery Charger and Yamaha Premier Boat Cover
Seadek on its way!

I just need to give my new baby a bath and a fresh wax!
Looking forward seeing you guys on the water!

glad to have you on board, that's a nice boat, be sure to check out the FAQ for lots of great info and mods,

Congratulations!! Sounds like you were in the right place at the right time.:Welcome:

Nice boat, let us know what you think about the JL speakers and amps!

Congrats, it's a beautiful boat!!

Thanks guys!

Love the all black look. Super sharp. Congrats on the new boat and of course, getting the boat that you wanted at a great price. Having the speakers back by the swim platform is also really awesome. I had them added to my 240 and soooo glad that I did. Really helps here the music when in the water. Welcome to the site!!

From one '15 242LS owner to another -- great boat!! Have fun with her. Take extra care around the dock.. there is a definitive learning curve with jet boats. Great pick and even better with the JL upgrade as well as the cover ( love ours).
Let me know how you like the extra Seadecking. I like the non-skid properties of it but I'm in the same direct sun that you are in and find that decking to get rather hot if it's not wet.

I installed the Thrust Vector today, pretty easy surprisingly
maybe I will do the seadek tomorrow

@Benny Sibbitt Its not too bad installing, just take your time. The hardest part was removing the old material which you may not have to do.

@JetSet407 Thanks for the heads up - luckly I have no old material to remove!
