I have two questions I was lolokg to get guidance on

1) was leaving no wake area experienced excessive vibration/ cavitation tried to clear by reverse twice which did not clear.i come from a seadoo boat which usually does trick. I opened clean out port lots of seagrass weeds. I also felt this piece of plastic which appeared lodged in one of the jet pump blades. It was removed easily by had. I have enclosed picts of the Piece of plastic I retrieved. I have also included pictures of the blades which appear to be intact without damage.

2) Once the boat was out of the water I looked inside the jet pumps and noticed that there was a large amount of silicone falling from the starboard exhaust port I was told This is normal? The boat has 9 hrs on it and excessive silicone from factory can do this??

Do I need to have jet pumps removed and Inspected for damage? Would this throw off the tolerances of the blades and wear ring? The Boat ran with out further cavitation or vibration once debris including plastic piece were cleared. Does anyone see any red flags from pictures I attached?

Thanks for the guidance new to yamaha totally fortunate to be part of this community and it's wisdom.

I’m glad it runs fine now. Probably no problems. Are the blades in pic [HASH=5984]#1AD[/HASH]...44 damaged?Looks like it when I zoom in.

I think that is plastic from the trash in the pump .
As for the reverse move if you go backward and then turn off the engines and put the controls in forward while you drift backward you can usually get the weeds out however once you wrap things around the impeller and driveshaft you will need to get it out the hard way.

i think its water droplet and excess rubber gasket material which seems all over the under side of the boat I will check again the next time before I put it back in the water

Jeff could you explain "trash" in the pump? Was this something ingested or left over from manufacturing?

I think you’re right. You’re probably ok. May be worth pulling the pumps just to be sure everything gets out. It’s an easy process if you haven’t done it before.

The smallest little piece of anything can cause the boat to feel like it is self destructing, as you’ve found out. I’ve gone under mine after what sounds like the world ending only to find a small piece of wood lodged in the impeller about the size of a quarter which was easily removed. After removal it ran perfectly fine. If it runs fine now, I wouldn’t sweat it and keep having fun.

ingested remember you have a huge vacuum cleaner under the boat as you found out the hard way

It's called the gift that keeps on giving. Have you opened your drain plug yet? You may be able to open a hardware store.

Im sure you are fine. Highly unlikely you did any damage unless you heard loud banging like you pulled in a rock.
