Saw this at Costco and it sounds awesome and was wondering how easy (or hard) would it be to integrate into a factory setup for a 2019 242X?

any ideas on how to do this?

And it's not marine grade, so moisture and a few pounding waves would destroy it.

@CDENsomnia added this sub with much success, in a ‘19 242x.

This!

The box on that Klipsch is particle board...ever see what happens when it gets wet? I have this speaker at home....great for your home stereo! I have it paired with tower dual 8" Klipsch speakers, and 4 surround and high speakers....the house rumbles when its movie night!!!

Thanks for the responses, all very good points you bring up. My thought was to throw it in the storage cabinet behind helm and open the door when listening to tunes at anchor or under the seat in the battery compartment and open the seat or make a cutout. I’ve never had anything get wet in those areas. The biggest challenge is how to connect it?
Need a power converter to take 12V to a 120V and need to figure out where to connect it in the existing sys wiring.

But I’m afraid that moisture could be the biggest challenge as @F.M. indicated, you are right, it may not be the best idea to improve the current not so impressive system. I’ll look into what @BigAbe75 suggested but that speaker carries a hefty price tag. If it solves the problem, I think it might be worth it. I’d love to hear it before committing to it.

Nice @Julian

There are more affordable powered subs out there than the wet sounds one. Even an automotive one would work if you’re keeping it in a compartment.
Check Amazon & Crutchfield.

I’m with you @Julian. I can’t see an inverter and water being a good combination.

I bet your wife loves all those speakers. I had to hide the ones in our family room when we renovated a couple of years ago.

My wife just rolls her eyes! Lol. But we have a new years party (and others) every year with dancing...so this rocks the room well. I used to edit movies for a living, and love an imersive sound experience with the big screen. Toys toys toys

I'm allowed to have speakers showing in the media room only. Anywhere else in the house, if my wife has to see them, they hours gotta go.
