My question to the group is do we go out for our 55th anniversary or do I cook at home. Now we did just come back from a week in Istanbul and a 13 day cruise to Rome. If I cook what do you all recommend. I am thinking a quiet dinner but never know and most likely will not exceed 6 or 8

Happy anniversary to you and the missus!

How about a Rib roast? If you have a Costco membership, they have Prime or Choice for excellent prices, and large enough to feed that many.

Herbed crust, or salt/pepper, or track down something special for the occasion. I'm partial to the Herbed rub

55 is a great milestone, I'd celebrate that with a fancy meal like that, and you definitely seem to enjoy cooking, so that's my recommendation

Hmmmm tough question …. How about a candle lit dinner at a nice restaurant with bananas foster for dessert ?
