Jet ski watering battery question

Slightly off topic but question for jet ski owners. My battery didn’t even make it one year I charged it back up but have a question on water level. Are these lines (red lines) to indicate the water level in a battery?

You can see the dark color is where it is currently.

Yes fill each cell to the line this is why the battery is not working correctly once you fill it the battery will come back to life

I use bottled water not tap water never had an issue .

You are supposed to used distilled water because it won't cause buildup on the plates causing it to lose life.

I had those batteries in my 2 skis go low all the time. Almost every month. So i got rid of them and got sealed AGM batteries and problem solved
