Jumped off the deep end

Wifey and I went to the boat show this year hoping to see a new model jet ski she’s been wanting. We’re pretty heavy into jet skis and ride them almost every weekend. We’ve even ridden to Bimini on them. We Didn’t see the ski, then at one point I got a work call and stepped out to handle that. When I returned she was standing next to this Yamaha boat staring at it. when I walked up she said “ I gotta have it”. She was staring at a 2020 242X. I looked at the tag and said “ you can’t be serious huh? well we looked some more at it and a few others before leaving, this time saying something like “one day”.
About a month later we were out having diner with friends on the beach and the other couple said “hey, jetblast is only a cpl mikes from here, let’s go check out that boat y’all wanted. Well, we already had a few drinks in us so when the guy put one of her favorite boom boom songs on the stereo.....bam, we were signing papers. ?
this was about 4 days before this virus thing really blew up. Not sure we would have done it if we knew what was coming but glad we did as I’m hearing dealers can’t get them. People are buying up everything And the manufacturers aren’t making any right now.
so anyway, here she is. Lovin every minute of it!
Oh, and I’m glade I found this site!

Love this boat exterior. I debated hard between this exact boat and a black 242SE. I went with the 242SE because I liked the interior more and I spend more time inside the boat than on the outside looking at it. Great boat. Congrats!

I don’t know all the models that well, but the only thing I do is the color and you have a fresh water shower where I have the ballast bags. I would like to add the shower even if I have to convert one of the bags. Maybe someone here knows how that can be done, we’ll see.

Congrats ! Where will you be boating in that beauty ?

numerous places in southern Louisiana, Mississippi, and Florida. We live in southeast Louisiana. Launching tomorrow morning in Mississippi to ride out to ship island and horn island.
We still ride with the jetski crew and most of the wives now choose to ride on the boat with us. ?

Did you remove one of the wakeboard/surf board racks or do they only come with one now in 2020?? Great pics, btw. that sand is pretty!
