The baby lives on Lake Conroe but takes a trip at least once a year to a buddy's cabin on Livingston.

Conroe is a nice mid size lake, but avoid way up north, as there are trees that will eat your hull.

Livingston is large, with lots of navigable waterways around it. Plenty to explore or get lost on...

Drop me a line if you are in the neighborhood.

Be careful on Livingston, lots of stumps. I have a house on the mid east side of the lake. I have about 90 waypoints in my GPS for stumps. We ended our season on the first weekend of October last year out on the lake and the level was a few feet low. To my dismay I spotted a stump on the outer edge of our watersports cove. So be careful.

I found most of the stump waypoints on 2coolfishing..com

Been on Livingston a number of times and I feel lucky I got out of there without a hole in the hull. It's a big and beautiful lake, but when you're running in 60' of water and you're suddenly seeing a cluster of stumps gets a little unnerving.

When I go out there I am with other boaters who have been on the water there for years. I follow a lot and they point out hazards to me...

I'm from Conroe but I haven't lived there in 20 years and the last time I visited it was pretty dry so hopefully you guys have gotten some rain. Post some pictures

The lake is presently .1 feet above normal pool.

Been on a long trip, and not out since I got back. But I will need to get some pics....
