Lateral Thruster Port Bracket Problem

2003 LX210 - Port side bracket doesn't fit

Got my Vectors and Lateral Thrusters last night, great video instruction included and as instructed, I put the Vectors on the shelf and started with the Lateral Thrusters. The Starboard lateral thruster went on just fine but I could not get the bracket to fit on Port side. The bracket just doesn't fit, it starts to dig in to the jetpump as you force it.

I did not get the brackets crossed. Just to be sure I took the starboard off and it wouldn't work with the port either.

Side note - I am learning that the beginning of summer is not a good time to start boat projects. Newbie.

Hi @Steve7435. Just guessing here but is it possible that top bracket is upside down? Looks like it might fit if it's flipped over.

I thought that too but a) the bolt won't go through the other hole and b) it wouldn't fit.
