image.jpeg image.jpeg Does anyone recognize this board? The lady selling it knows nothing about it, I asked her to measure it but haven't gotten a response back yet.
If it's a good deal I might buy it.

I didn't, I sent her a low ball offer of $125, she was asking $250, I've never surfed and don't have ballast but figured if I could get a board cheap I'd play with it.

$250 may be a great price for it, just more than I want to spend on one, if you or anyone is interested in it I'll send her info to you.

If you want to try surfing get a 'surf'-style board, not a skim style. You'll find it more stable and easier to ride as you learn. I would recommend getting a board that has a surfboard style construction as well. Some are made like wakeboards, and albeit more durable, they are much heavier and I feel harder to ride. They will cost you more (maybe $100 or so?), but it will be worth it.

Good luck finding a board!

I need another surf board like another hole in the head. My racks are full.

Yeah, I don't know much about them but from what little I read about this one it's more for experienced peeps. That's another reason I didn't want to lay much for it.

Keep your eye on the below websites for deals, they pop up from time to time...

http://www.evo.com/outlet-shop/wake/wakesurf-boards.aspx
http://www.the-house.com/buy-cheap-wakesurfers.html
http://www.wakemakers.com/on-sale-surf
http://www.wakesurfboardstore.com/cheap-wakesurf-boards/

I personally would stay away from the O'Brien brand, and maybe even Hyperlite too. Ronix, Slingshot, Liquid Force, Phase 5, Byerly, Inland Surfer are all good brands to look at first even for beginner boards.

Ugh, I should be working, but thinking about surfing is soooo much more fun. Thanks for the distraction!
