The pre-spring mod bug hit me this week and I ended up ordering a new seat post that is 1.5” taller. It’s a Springfield “Regatta” series and is identical to the existing post and base except it is 6” instead of 4.5” tall. The screws for the seat base are threaded into a metal plate so it is an easy bolt on/off swap. I am on the shorter side (5’8”) and the extra height seems about perfect. Always felt like I was sitting on the floor before. If anyone is interested, it is part number 1280106-mpl. I ordered it from cascade depot.

I bought an adjustable height one for my last boat, but to be honest, once I set it for myself, no one ever changed it.

@Matts18 how much was the fixed height post?

The post was about $50 with free shipping. Springfield had a 8” version in their “scratch and dent” store for $25 but I think that would be too tall.

I read the posts about the adjustable versions and would have gone that route but I couldn’t find one that had a height range low enough to work on the 19’ boats.
