I just took delivery of a new Vortex 243 VRX today and it wasn't getting a gps signal for the whole 45 minutes that I used it. Has this happened to anyone else with the Medallion system? The salesman and I downloaded the detailed Nav charts from navionics and that worked fine. I could see the Lake St. Clair depths although the numbers seemed screwed up. For instance in a spot where I knew the depth was less than 6 feet it said 18 but it had a 9 in the the lower exponent in position. It didn't just give a plain old number. I'll try it again tomorrow. Maybe the system just has to reboot and do some other mysterious thing.
