Bought a used 2013 ar240. This drain fitting is driving my OCD crazy. Why is it white on a black boat? Is it missing a cover? Seems its molded into the fiberglass on the inside as there are no threads. What can i do to change it?

Search for anchor locker drain on the forum....there are a ton of options out there. it's very easy to swap out with a stainless steel thru hull fitting. review some of the other threads for your model year boat to work out the details.

Read this thread, buy the parts, replace the anchor locker and be done…

It's white because they're ALL white, all SHITE, and Yamaha wasn't going to change the fittings or add more colors until they used up their inventory. There's no statement of this, but that's my theory. It also looks like a previous owner attempted to fix it, as it popped out. It's not really a "drain", per se, it's more of a push-in barbed fitting. It seems like you're somewhat lucky, in that it sounds like your description indicates it's flush with the interior. That won't stay like that, and will give you problems over time, because it's not a proper drain fitting.

I'm guessing you're anal retentive, and not truly OCD, or it's a ha-ha joke that many like to make, or it would have triggered you in the first place to not even buy the boat, especially in black. No matter the case, you're going to have problems, as ALL the fittings are white. You'll need to either get squared away with this, or start looking at threads around here for what to replace these with. Insisting on black is going to be a fool's errand. It's not common, it's limiting in what fittings you can get, and it's going to be more difficult (or quite possibly IMpossible) to get replacements. Get your mind wrapped around stainless METAL fittings, and not plastic BS, and track down all of them that you'll need to replace. Buy them all at once, swap them all at once, and revel in the look of a consistent look and reasonable appearance.

If you can fabricate steel, you can change all of these fittings easily.
