One picture of your last outing.

Wife and kids are at the beach this week. Took the boat out by myself and it was everything it could have been. 20240709_201203.jpg20240709_184640.jpg20240709_181016.jpg

Pretty sure we got mom, dad, and junior all within a few hundred yards of the nest today. Junior was only about 100' away...not venturing too far yet.

"Nah, that looks like a Golden" said every doorknob neighbor to me
?‍♂️

Same people who swore we had a barn owl instead of a Great Horned, even after playing the separate calls.

Those pics make me feel like I need some fireworks and Toby Keith playing right now

Assateague Island in Maryland. I’ve been wanting to make this trip on my boat for many years. I’m not sure there are many places you can see dolphins and wild horses from the boat in the same day.

What year is your boat capt'n? I had an '03 for many years and something about the lines on the older boats that makes me all warm and gooey.

It’s a 2008 that I bought in 2014 with 11 hours on it. This is the 11th season with it. It’s been a great boat! I think my family is ready to move on to something we can wet slip though, especially after having the pleasure of wet slipping it this week during vacation.

Great late evening on the lake today. Our oldest is with Grammy this weekend and our youngest is so close to not being afraid to the water!

Gotta love boating season

Been dying to take our new kayaks here. Waiting for some nice 80 degree weather. Seems this Summer we went from 70 degrees to 95 degrees!

We used to trailer our 14’ duck boat with a 9.9 tiller from Ohio and camp at the state park. I remember going to the store and getting the oldest chicken, tie it up to some twine and catch blue crabs. Then take some stiff rakes and get clams. Horses used to chew through the screen tent and eat the potatoes and dish soap ?
