I have the Bimini trip coming up that I have in mind...

Well we did a week at disney, then a Washington DC trip, now charleston all in a matter of a few weeks.... I'm tapped out after this! But already working on my wife about Shelbyville next year.. depending on the dates..

Welcome back on board. I was confused at first I would swear last year on the way down to Bimini I passed you @tim h driving down the road and I was pretty sure you had a fist full of hundreds hanging out your window and you were screaming money ain't a thing. I guess @Ramblin Wreck must of picked some of the ones you let slide out of your hand up and gave them back.

YOU WIN !

For those going and this will be their first salt water boating and would like to know how to clean up the boat after salt water use I always recommend @justason method below! Every time I'm about to put in salt water I think of this post he made in the Bimini thread last year and I get a chuckle.

"my ocean cleansing process involves a cooler, a bucket/soap, and a day on the lake.......start with WOT runs all over the place........finish with a couple of sub moves,.....open cooler, crack beer...soap up inside.......repeat till suds are gone......prior to any ocean-ing...silicone spray everything..
Then leaving the aft buckles on the boat and plug out you can dip the trailer and partially fill the nether regions.......makes you look like a pro at the boat launch too...."

Justason's salt water rinse plan patent pending

Decided to throw in a tire rotation and oil change tonight to get the tow rig in top shape for the haul on Friday. I didn't get to the oil change when finding the front hub seal was blown (no wonder I started hearing noise through the mountain pass on 40 a few weeks ago. Luckily the part was in stock and got it before they closed at 9. With a little help from my friend we knocked it out by 10:30...except for the intended oil change.image.jpeg

that sucks, but glad you worked it out on your terms and not the terms of the road.

glad you enjoy the cleaning procedure....But I have to give credit to @waterboy for the boat launch technique and sinking the aft end....cheers !!!

Thanks @waterboy I did not want to gamble with it on the road. By the way, what is the planned cast off time from city on Sunday?

There is no official leave time Sunday I plan to be pulling out between 9-9:30 to attempt to be back at the lake by noon to try and get home at a good time but that by no means is the official time if people want to hang around Charleston a bit I'm sure we can split into different groups coming back at different times so that's kind of up to the individual person. Anyone who likes is more then welcome to follow me back up at that time but for anyone who would like to hang out feel free to reach out to others in the group.
