Where the zerk should be, there is a hose coming off to the back of the engine. Is the zerk under that hose? I can't tell what it goes into. 1553179855749-2123447443.jpg

Nevermind, finally the answer is easier. Remote, easy access zerk. 1553180011402-88376990.jpg

The zerk is on the engine to make it easier to fill. You pump from the engine and you will feel the hose become stiffer as you pump, you want to be very careful not to overfill.

That comes from the waverunner days when the pump was way back in the hull. I have owned a number of waverunners, and never understood what that was until I owned a yamaha boat and read about it here. I'm glad they kept them on there, it does make it easy. And yes, the old pair of GP1300r's get greased now too!

Lots of corrosion on the jets. I'm in lake lanier at a marina. Looks like barnacles. Replacing the anodes. There is a lot left of them. 15531813962601036635512.jpg1553181421482234006812.jpg

You will want to use a Magnesium anode in fresh water. A magnesium anode is a super activated metal which means it will protect more efficiently in fresh water. Traditional zinc or aluminum anodes are just not effective in fresh water (they are good for salt water).
