My apologies. I should have provided this info in my introductory post.

I am an avid PWC'er. My wife likes lounging on a boat. She will ride the PWC but only in calm water, as such, we use both the boat and the PWC but rarely at the same time.

I currently work temporary projects out of state in East Tennessee. While here, we frequent two smaller lakes called Chickamauga and Watts Bar. Both are awesome lakes on the Tennessee River. Last year, I bought her an 18 foot stingray Bowrider. It is a great little boat for the lakes around here.

The problem arises when we go home to Western Kentucky. The 18 footer is simply too rough a ride for the big lake (Kentucky Lake) that we use back home. In retrospect, I never should have bought for this location, but I cant undo that mistake. For the lake back home, experienced boaters recommend 22 foot minimum. That said, we are considering relocating permanently to this area but that would happen for some time.

At this point in time, I am considering changing boats. The Stingray is a nice little boat, but it sux on rough water. The Stingrays patented "Z" hull design is great for speed, but sux on choppy or rough water. Given my fondness for my PWC, I decided to throw a jet boat in the mix for consideration.

Thanks for reading and you folks have a great forum!
