Last weekend my river had the perfect water level for boating.

However, I decided to pull the boat back home with me, rather than leave it on the lift - after looking at the latest hydro-logic prediction...

Nothing to do with boating but was in a Segway tour of San Diego this am and the only other guy on it was a middle aged dad showing off his rookie skills for his daughters and girl friend. Close to the end he gets too much Kodak courage and goes over the handle bars transitioning at high speed from concrete to grass. HE ATE ..IT BIG TIME, jumped up, rode until the next stop and passed out. The fire department was called on my recommendation, this guy started to seize up as he was passed out. Then couldn’t remember how he got to where he was. A fire truck and ambulance showed up but he ended up waking back as the guide pulled his Segway. Seemed to be fine after my wife gave him a bag of cookies, he maybe diabetic. It was surreal, I’ve been on a few of these tours now and this this the first time I’ve seen so many people fall off these things.

My son installing a wiring harness on his soon to be new to him truck.

As someone who HATES mowing grass (allergies go into high gear), that Auto-Mower may be the ticket for me someday.

That's after my boys are out of the house of course...

From my perspective that mower looks like an unsecured $2,700 bill sitting on a lawn waiting to be stolen by the next guy driving or walking by. I also wonder about liability if it injures a neighbors dog or just a curious but dumb neighbor but I think I am just trying to justify why I should not buy one, as if I don’t need and can’t afford one are not enough.

I think you have to install a wire around your property like an invisible dog fence for the mower boundaries. My buddy has a Honda brand and that is what he did.
I would also be worried about someone stealing it but I don't think it could run over a dog, maybe a cat.

There seems to be an an idiot for every occasion the one in my mind is the guy who tries to steal the mover while it is operating, ends up losing a or a few fingers and suing me for the injury he suffered while trying to steal my property. This guy is dumber than any dog or cat in my neighborhood.

Broke a 1/2" drive breaker bar which exploded in my hand. Fortunately I had big gloves on. Damn, it was unpleasant.


Trying to do transmission service on a 2008 MDX acura... Glad I thought of loosening the fill plug first which is not happening.

Any tips, besides penetrating fluid and trying it hot?

DANG!

Penetrating oil, Heat (be careful you don't light the oil on fire), and vibration are your friend.

Much tapping with a small ball-peen hammer (not enough to dent anything but enough to rattle it loose) usually helps.

Also, sometimes try turning it in the "tighter" direction just to break it loose.

I've fought many a stuck bolt.

A thought - and don't take this wrong because I've done it myself - you ARE turning it in the correct direction right?

I once lost my orientation when pulling out a bolt for a wheel-bearing pack on my wife's minivan. (I was looking at it from the opposite side.) I stretched the bolt about 1/4" before it dawned on me that this thing wasn't getting any looser...

Needless to say I replaced the bolt.

Thanks, good points. Those MDX transmission fill plugs/bolts are known to be an issue. Unfortunately, that is an unwelcome sign the transmission fluid has likely not been changed much... and the car has very high miles. We just got it as one of my daughters turned 16. Go figure... the joys of parenthood.

I was ready to give up and go refill through a little tiny dipstick hole, but then decided - no way.
I'm gonna approach it like one of my stuck-up impellers, lol - with a 6ft cheater bar. It's a war!!!
