My wife and I are excited as our builder begins excavating our lot today to put in the footers for our new home. We have been under contract since the end of February and just beat a 12% price increase on home construction! Once the house is finished, then comes our next boat!

Nothing, as the builder is honoring the build price when we put the home under contract.
The only unexpected increase to the building cost, was when they ordered all of the material for the home and the original vinyl siding we planned was no longer available. Our replacement siding cost a couple of thousand more as it was an upgrade (a slight bit thicker) than we originally planned.
They are a fantastic builder to deal with. They will custom build a home, or you can use on of their plans and customize it to you liking (we are doing the latter.
For comparison, my bother and I bought laps in ferraris and Lamborghini’s from exotic racing a few years ago. You have to buy a minimum of 3 laps per car unless you get a bundled package (like 3 cars). The cost per lap varies by the car, generally the more expensive the car the more expensive the lap. I think our laps in a Ferrari 456 or 488 and Lamborghini LP 4 640 (hp) AWD we’re about $100 each. This includes a 10 minute training/safety video, and a chaperone/coach that rides in the passenger seat with an electronic brake velcroed to the floor board on his side. Video from 3 or 4 cameras is an extra $50 to $70. You can check out all the cars available while you are waiting for your turn to drive. I only raise this as an alternative to using your own or a friends car. That is of you are willing to pay you don’t need to be well connected or jealous. Actually I’m jealous of you @2kwik4u and @Jimmers as I don’t have any friends with Porsches to loan me or a Porsche of my own to take to the track.
here is a video of jammie foxx at exotics racing in Las Vegas I can’t find the link to my video. Riding along in a drift car for 2 laps is available for another $50. The tracks are different lengths with Vegas having the longest track.
He optioned the car with those ridiculous carbon fiber Recaro seats. It was a $6k option. I hate them. There’s only forward and back adjustment - that’s it. It’s like strapping into a roller coaster. It’s fine for a track, but not for a driver.
I swapped out the 2x4", actually 1.5x3.5", non pt bunk boards on our Triton aluminum PWC/dinghy trailer for new pt 3x6" bunk boards. I needed the extra elevation to keep the hypalon off the fenders.
I like that stapler. It sets the 1/2" s.s. staples completely every time.
Now to wash the hull and motor. That is 2 months of growth in Burlington harbor.
