Yesterday afternoon fouled a spark plug on the way back to the marina. Lost a few hundred rpm but maintained a good speed until I fouled a second plug in the same engine a few miles out. Left that engine idle while we limped back at a whopping 14 mph on one engine. This morning I went down to work on the boat and found [HASH=6719]#1&4[/HASH] slightly fouled. Replaced the 2 fouled plugs with 2 good used ones, took for a test ride and all is good again.

Update
Went out on the lake today and fouled 3 more plugs. [HASH=6723]#1,3[/HASH] & 4 cylinders and all on the port engine, so at least it’s spreading them out. After all of the down time It was necessary to head into town to buy a new set. Just finished changing them out and going to go out for a test run in the morning.

Swap your coils with other engine and see if it moves

My friend brought another waveblaster back from the dead. It has a riva dry pipe, ported cylinder, head.. But it still needs a detail. We found a yacht throwing a 2-3ft wake and I was really sending it. I miss doing that stuff, but my back doesn't

Last night after FINALLY seeing Top Gun Maverick. Unfortunately, no pot of gold, but the rainbow did follow us all the way home for a good shot between houses. 9FBBC3D4-6969-4E72-9CC9-6EEE81567F79.jpeg4B554E7F-4256-477B-BFE9-5439EC4CBAA9.jpeg61879BCA-9483-401E-B72E-503D89BBC1BC.jpeg

I’ve had a 2021 Waverunner for almost two full seasons now but just noticed this warning sticker a few days ago. I recall peeling something similar off my 2010 242 ls but I’m sure it did not recommend the riders wear neoprene swim suits.

My boat’s new home, a covered 30’ x 14’ slip at the marina a mile from my house. Only took one month on the preferred (current slip renter) list before it became available. As luck would have it the new slip comes with a fresh water supply so my self contained water gun/wash down pump is no longer needed. In hindsight I should have waited to buy a new battery for it, $90 lesson at least it wasn’t $100+.

Now I’m on the look out for a used boat lift and possibly some jet docks for the Waverunners.

Time for a bigger boat!! That 275 would fill that gap a little better!

While I agree the 275 is not sold in CA, darn, moreover I cannot afford one, much stronger word than darn (it hurts to say this and it hurts even more to type it). The questions that I need to answer next are, “do I have to get a center mounted boat lift?” And “if not can I fit one, preferably two, jet docks into the slip with my boat on a lift?” I dislike problems generally but first world problems are the best to have, if any IMHO.

I just got this at Home Depot to replace the one my brother lost while helping a new boating family out (30 something, wife two kids and a tow rope wrapped around the propeller). He and my SIL thought the bungee cord I tied to the end of the knife was a floatation device. This time around “I fixed it”, as seen on the attached pic. I’m naming my innovation, “The Brother Be Good”. 5ED19A50-6F2E-4625-87C5-3AE6B355C362.jpeg

For those that don’t already know this $5 knife is the best tool that I know of to cut a tow or mooring line out of a jet drive.

Tested and floats the knife? Link? Just because it can be looped onto the hand doesn't mean the brother WILL do that, it might "get in the way" until it's out of the way, at the bottom... Lost again ?‍♂️

Dinner and boat drinks at the marina. The party lights were on.

Spent the last few hours removing this tree that fell last week into the creek causing a dam to start. Figures it fell the long way into the creek instead of across it. 90 plus degrees in hip waders with a chain saw is no way to spend a Sunday. Lol

First weekend with the new camper. Yay mother nature giving us a reminder that she's in charge of plans.

Just made it off the lake before the sky opened up on us. Raining so hard the scupper is flowing while we're on dry(-ish) land!
