Sitting by the pool drinking coffee with the fire pit on watching the sun come up. FINALLY cool mornings upon us, and hot afternoons. View attachment 189099

Close, but I am Winterizing our pool today and my fire pit is inside. First fire of the season.

Never did a home project that didn't take at least twice as long as I planned! Am currently working on the basic landscaping for the new house. Got the area near the house cleared and cut the 4x4's. Here's before any of the wood was cut. Used the compound miter saw for the straight cuts and a circular hand saw to notch the ends where the boards met. Didn't quite get finished before the rains (remnants of Ian) started. Love being retired as I no longer have deadlines to complete projects and having new tools:

Noticed your saw. I have the same saw. FYI, I just got a postcard with a recall on that saw. Models DWS779, DWS780, DHS790. Saws with date codes 2019 04 thru 2022 04 are affected. Something about a rear guard assembly that can become detached and pose a safety hazard. www.dewalt.com/miter-saw-recall

THANKS!

You have a sharp eye. It is a DWS779, I have checked and it has the green dot, so it's not subject to the recall. I think I bought it in June and it have been recently shipped from the factory.

My co worker helps do maintenance on some retro boats down here in Tampa. This is one that has been retrofitted from gas to electric. These cruise around the river downtown. 8B1EC5F4-A44B-44AE-A0B4-1C5CAA14E74C.jpegDAB3AF9C-EC61-4AF6-96B2-D75B0EBF5E5C.jpeg

I'm refreshing our 15 year old Fuji bikes, including new tires, tubes, brake cables, and chains. While working on my wife's bike, I decided to repack the wheel bearings. Hardest part of the job is making sure that none of the 18 bearings (9 per side) falls on the garage floor and gets lost, LOL! Not as fancy as the bearings on my last boat trailer, but I marvel in the simplicity of how simple ball bearings work.

Dessert at the Sugar Factory in the Tampa Hard Rock Casino for Alexa’s 9th birthday. Been at it all day so she’s pretty tired!

My lift gets pulled Saturday, so boat came out today. Great first year. About 75 hours, 950 miles, no stupid mistakes, no mechanical issues. Family thinks I found the perfect boat, and I'm in full agreement.

Wife in the truck, Cooper supervising from shore, no wind and no waves...for those of us who only put it on the trailer once a year, it's nice when conditions cooperate to make it smooth and easy...
