i also saw a lot of young women wearing tight fitting very revealing clothes but couldn’t take or post any pics. In the Dave Chappels (sp?) words, “I was [ appalled and] disgusted, but I could not look away.”
Seriously, my Son and I agreed to send $1 each to the estate of the man who invented spandex for making the world a better place.
My first thought was that is a very dumb design. A lifeguard is not supposed to lose sight of the person who is in distress. To run away from the beach to get down is so wrong
Is that still there?!?!? Haven't been over there in a very long time. Used to be a restaurant next door in the shape of an old wooden boat we went to when our boys were very little for thanksgiving. Lots of good memories...
Actually I don’t know for sure if that is a life guard station, first aid station or just an office. The Red Cross on the exterior makes me think first aid. There is at least one life guard station nearby on beach. I saw it all again I’m the day light but no body was in it or the life guard station.
Got one final trip out on the lake. October 22/23 still on the water I cant complain. Looks like I may get one last trip this weekend then its time to winterize.

This post confused me at first, as I could not understand why it would take 7 hours to replace part of the windshield. Reread it again to understand this was to tear down the engine. $170 seems high is this was most folks are paying for service?

$170 is the going rate here in NCal. I paid $85 an hour for a mobile mechanic. He was honest about it when he found the timing chain broke and told me he isn’t experienced or equipped to do this job. Admittedly I could have saved a few dollars if o removed the engine myself and tore it down some more but there is just not enough time in the day or days in the week for me to do that.
I may check the dealers rate but won’t be surprised if it’s more than $170. Even if it wasn’t, I’d rather go to the ski clinic in antioch, ca. it’s family owned and I’ve been going to them since they opened 15 or more years ago. They have never done me wrong and gave me a few breaks over the years as well.
By the way I had to wait four weeks for a spot to open up to bring my boat in. They still had two there but I don’t know why, a 230 and 190. They had a lot full of pwcs as well. If $170 is too high I’d expect to get in right away because there should be plenty of open spots.
the bottom line for me is that they are worth every penny but it still stung to spend that many pennies for diagnostic services.
At work today is a department costume contest. The quality department picked 80s theme. Since I was born in 1986, I chose some classic Top Gun so everyone could relate. Worst part, I shaved my beard and left the mustache.

WOW... You look identical to a friend I grew up with that joined the Air Force in the late 80's right after high school! I mean like shockingly so! ...not in a bad way though. More of a; is your father named Benjamin kind of way.

Haha, no my dads name is Dennis. 6’1” 375lbs with a burly beard and a mullet. He did shave his beard off once in my life and looked shocking close to Wimpy from Popeye. ?
