Has anyone found a source for PDF copies of the owners manuals on the newer boats? Ideally I'd want one for the 24' platform and/or something specific to the 2017 242X.

I have seen copies for slightly older boats and had one for my previous boat (2012 SX240) but havent see anything available for the newer models. I like to keep a copy of the manual on my phone or tablet as an easy searchable reference.

Thanks

Yamaha has not published PDF manuals since 2014. Perhaps you could ask Yamaha for a copy. It might get them moving.

Thanks Bruce. That's a shame since you know that they already have the formatted files. Not sure why they wouldn't be willing to share them.

I suspect it is just a matter of not updating that portion of their website.

I suspect that if they make/sell PDF versions, then anybody can share them. Hard copies require you to BUY your own for $75. But then again, sometimes I am just a cynic!

They sell the service manuals but have typically provided the owners manual as a free download.

Agreed. I completely get it with the service manuals but as a general rule of thumb PDF manuals are just normally provided as an added convenience for pretty much anything sold anymore.

Agree....I misread....thought he was talking about the service manuals. You are right, they should provide PDF of the owners manuals at least! And they do charge $17 for the owners manuals. I just saw where you can get an e service manual....I guess it is a subscription. $79 for one year...ouch!

Yamaha has owners manuals posted up to 2016 year with the exception of 19' boats. Last SX/AR 19' manual they published was 2013 models. Strangely nothing ever posted on the FSH models. I guess us 19' guys really are the red headed stepchild of the brand haha.

@JoeMitchem here's the owners manual for the 2016 24' models http://www.yamaha-motor.com/assets/service/manuals/2016/LIT-18626-11-06_2219.pdf. It should be the same for your 2017 boat.

I just bought the paper manuals. Nothing like having some oil stains on the manual to bring back old memories of working on stuff. Plus, you can have the manual in the bottom of the engine bay while you are working on the boat, a little easier than putting your laptop down there.

I have it for 2014 ar if needed

#Yamaha it would be awesome if you could add the latest manuals to your website.

Wow that was fast. I bet the Anchor Locker seal QA and Trailer Issues take longer to fix. ;)

@Bruce ... Just checked the Yamaha site linked above by @haknslash and they do now have the manuals for 2017 models. You have to be logged in to view them, but they are there.

They were not there the other day so this just happened very recently.

It is not true that you have to login; that’s what I thought at first too. The button on the left says Sign Up/Log in, but you can also just click the button on the right “Continue to Owners Manual.” Unfortunately, this does not solve the problem of being in the middle of a lake with poor/no cell phone reception. But, for me the 2012 AR190 PDF easily available on Google is good enough; I don’t see too many differences, and it answered all my questions.

Hello.... Do you have an updated link? These do not seem to work. If you have the PDF that would be even better.
