Just purchased a steering wheel knob to install on my 2016 FSH. Had one on my last boat and really loved having it. Plan on drilling a hole into one of the steering wheel spokes and trough bolting it rather than the clamp that came with it.

I think you'll find the travel on a jet boat steering wheel will mean you won't need it as much....but it would be nice as a reference to know where the center point is!

Please post pics when you're done. I'm interested in doing the same. Just curious how drilling a hole through the spoke will go.

IMG_7115.JPG IMG_7115.JPG IMG_7116.JPG IMG_7117.JPG IMG_7117.JPG Done! Only difficult part was drilling through the stainless steel spoke. Make sure you have a good quality drill bit. I purchased the knob off ebay for $11. not as nice as the one that was on my boat but will get the job done. This one spins on plastic bushing as apposed to pressed in bearings. I believe the knob with the bearings run around $75. Looks like I need to wipe the wheel down :)

Used a cobalt bit from Lowes. Went through like butter.

Great inexpensive mod.
