ok...this is such the standard operating procedure for me.....

We have a pretty substantial beaver problem in our cove at the lake ...they're clearing the shoreline hard AND built their home right on the gang plank of my neighbors dock! slowly sinking it over the past few weeks.
My neighbor has a few more years on him than I, and to clean up this "problem" could be a chore......

I saw him walk down to the shoreline Wednesday with a "friend" of his, thinking he was searching for a solution, I walked down and shouted across the cove.

"HEY PETE"...."I'm going to take care of this beaver problem this week". (Made the universal symbol of holding a rifle)..... "then when they're gone..we're going to Tannerite the hell outa that house".......

He was oddly quiet, ..then again it was a windy day, hard to hear..........

So I texted him this morning about 10am.....5 neutralized, sitting on the bottom on the account their full of lead.....

few minutes later he came down my driveway.........seems..umm....his "friend" was a wildlife officer he was consulting for options......O DERKA ME !! you'd think I'd learn by now.......

I'm thinking I have about 2 days before they bloat back to the surface.......meanwhile I gave him a pound of tannerite to "test"....He's on his way downtown tomorrow for the 10 pounder.......this is going to be a GREAT GOPRO video !!!!

Nice...Freakin beavers are destructive little things. If nobody saw you then I'd stand out there when they come to the surface and say "Weird, look at that........they died somehow".

This is simply a GREAT story. Perfect ending to a wonderful Thanksgiving. Still smilin' !

"We have a pretty substantial beaver problem..."

(Cue the Beavis & Butthead uncontrollable snickering. ;))

They tore up a bunch of trees on my cousin's land in southern Arkansas not long ago. Crazy the damage they will do to big trees!

Sounds like the sort of thing that would happen to me....except I'd have started shooting while the Wildlife guy was there! LOL
