Stubborn adhesive residue on non skid surface

2 hours later….

That strikes me as about par for the course, doesn't seem out of line at all for this task. Some guys get lucky, others like yourself, it's a battle. I'd recommend a stripping wash, if it's not too late. Some Dawn dish soap and hot water, or any commercial stripping wash. I've got some stuff from Adams that seemed to be as effective as Dawn, so I can't really recommend it simply due to the higher cost vs results. When that's used up, I'll go back to using Dawn for stuff like this, but I'd do it just to help get any lingering things off and give yourself a better surface after what you've dealt with.

Spent another 2hrs, (6 hrs total) just on the remaining tough spots. In order to speed up process, i began to address multiple areas instead one at a time and is what I should have done to begin with. Project is nearly complete as I need the weather to remain above 70 degrees per installation instructions. Still 40’s at night with daytime highs in the 60’s.
