Installed my new Boatbuckles and through the stock transom straps in the garbage! The stock straps would loosen up on a 4 mile trip to the lake!

I kept my transom straps as emergency spares. I don't know if you have your bowstop welded or not, but if it's loosening up, you need to slam on the brakes after loading the boat onto the trailer to shift the boat as far forward as possible... and then retighten the transom straps. I've had to do that since day 1, and doubt it will change just because I installed Boat Buckles.

@MOA_Chaser I just might pull them ouy of the garbage:rolleyes:. I honestly think it is the straps and not the scenario that your describing, but I'll check the bowstop since it is not welded. Thanks for the advice!

Yeah if I don't brake check my boat every time, the straps are floppy loose by the time I make the 13 mile trip home.

I strongly suggest welding the bow stop or, at least, doing the cross-bolt fix. Easy, not expensive, and makes the setup far stronger and more rigid.

@GTBRMC I'll have to take a look at my trailer to see how I can reinforce it. I have a shorelander trailer so I'm sure it's slightly different. Thanks for the info.

Sea-Dek install from last year's group buy . . . . . Complete. Thanks @JetBoatPilot.

Installed blue LEDs in my 07 SX230 last night. Bought the cheap blue light strips, 18 ga wire and T tap connectors from Amazon. Worked out well and looks good. Took me about 3.5 hours.

Assume these are Gen 2...correct? Also, if they are other than brand new, what are they? Thanks!

Great looking install! Still my favorite color seadek.

Thanks. . . . . Love it already. Yesterday was our first day on the water and we already have unexpected rain today. After being woken by the wife at 5:45am to be asked, "it's pouring out, did you cover the boat?". . . . With my half asleep, hungover, morning brain, I was walking down to begin covering her and I was thinking "crap, the carpet is going to be soaked". Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised when I got there.

Added the walk thru sea deck and took some pictures. Nothing else to do since the weather sucked this weekend!image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

NEW Depth Finder. I bought my boat (09 232 Limited S) and the transducer was ripped clean off(Along with the pitot tube), so I went out and bought a Norcross D10 because it was only marginally more expensive than buying the "Out of Stock" transducer from Norcross...and I was able to fish the wire through the fuel area by tying to the old one and yanking(lightly) Big win since I don't have a #4 bit and a bunch of the fuel cover screws were hard stuck...OH, AND I ORDERED SEADEK FOR THE WHOLE BOAT
