The official "What did you do to your jet boat today" thread.

Dang... U won't even have to start the engines.. Just aim the speakers backwards and crank it up!

HAHA, yeah its kind of ridiculous. Go big or go home right? I haven't even cranked it up all the way yet. Cant wait for summer days on the sandbar.

@Mainah I feel most readers may of glossed over this short sentence hidden in your post because there should be a lot more interest... I want pictures! [flag]

I have a separate thread going on this that I will be sure to update. I hope to update in a couple of weeks. Right now my boat is still torn apart and I hope to finish this major round of mods this weekend then next weekend do an interior deep clean for photos. I still have to mount the compressor, radiator, keg vessel, and automatic switching pure sine wave inverter then hook it all up. I plan on doing that while I have fiberglass curing for my custom in hull sub boxes. The weather needs to be good to me or I may have to take a day or two off to get it all done.

Post your stereo build in the electronics section. Most of us with big stereos have so we can learn install locations and tips and tricks.

Pulled the boat out of its winter storage to work on the jet pumps.

Those of you who do this professionally try not to laugh... This was my Saturday project.

I can't remember who on this forum did this first but I copied the plastic cutting board idea! The positive and negative distribution blocks I already had behind the helm but with only 10 gauge wire. I am running 4 gauge and figured I would use a single hit wifr for everything. If I don't like it wired that way I still have the 10 gauge wire that I can hook back up.

Looks fine to me!

Mine is just about done. I'm quite jealous of the people with the knack to turn their boards into a work of art, and even more so those who can fit inside that little helm. Now that everything is up and working, need to tidy it up a bit more and get more of those wires behind the board so that nothing gets snagged. Fixed VHF radio install on deck for next weekend hopefully, then the boat is done and ready for summer.

First, I finished the head unit install:

Then, I figured out that in order for it to play off of the USB chip the way I wanted, all of the songs need to be in the same folder on the chip. Moved those all around, installed chip and viola! My entire playlist basically built into the head unit. Nice.

Then I replaced the horn. Oops. Didn't get a pic of that one. No worries. Replaced it with the same one as before, so it looks identical to the last install before the valet guy whacked it...

Then, installed a little LED light bar in the engine compartment:

Turns out that the bolt there holding the fan is the same size as the one that comes with it to install the bracket. Just put the bracket on and screwed on the new nut on top. Wired it up and no more flashlight to see in the engine compartment.

Then, did the same thing with the other little LED light bar in the battery compartment:

For this one, I just took off the bolt holding the seat, put the bracket on and put the bolt (and washer) back on. Wired it up, etc.

In the end, here is my distribution block.

I didn't install fancy things like switches and stuff. I am just going to pull the fuse and store it normally in the slot below. And then put it in the right slot to turn on the light.

And I vacuumed it out and all. Almost ready for the season!

@jcyamaharider Can you please define that for me?

I didn't go as far as @gmtech16450yz or @swatski yet. I basically just took some E6000 and used it as leveling compound to smooth out the transitions from the tunnel to the jet pump. On the starboard side there was a 3/16" mismatch lip. Fill in basic voids in hopes for some more traction.

Tried to fix my fence gate for the boat. After 4 hours I determined I failed, and this is something best left to a professional.

Changed the spark plugs on Sunday while the wife did a little spring cleaning inside the boat. Oil change is next on the list for this week. Summer is coming...

Had to change a tire at the ramp. Tire developed a grapefruit on the sidewall separating the bead from the rim. :)43DF12F8-596A-43EB-A03E-CF3AB9278B09.jpeg
