The official "What did you do to your jet boat today" thread.

Installed JBP Lateral Thrusters and Thrust Vectors today. Did the entire install in about 40 minutes. I like the new XV Thrust Vectors better than the XL’s I had on my 2005 AR230. The XV’s are definitely stiffer and the hardware (brackets) are much beefier. Can’t wait to get it in the water.

You could cut down on some of that time and elbow grease by using a rubber eraser wheel on a drill. You'll love the SeaDek once you're done but you probably hate it at this point :D

I assume the rubber eraser wheel is used to remove the glue once you get the foam off?? I like the idea of power tools, but I found removing the foam to actually be the hardest part. I literally had to use a large steel scraper and a hammer to get most of it off. I couldn’t believe how hard it is to get the 5 year old Hydro Turf off. Once the foam was removed the fist layer of glue desolved with paint thinner and the rest second layer loosened up nicely with Rapid Remover. I still had to use the steel scraper to get the glue off.

Do you have a link for the boat buckles?
Thanks!

I love my boat buckles. Just make sure to throw away the bolts/nuts and buy some galvanized ones at home depot for $3.

I couldn't even get the screws on that it came with. Wouldn't thread. I ended up getting one on half way and spent hours trying to them get it off.

In the past week or so I’ve had the following modifications/repairs done. Added 4 Rockford Fosgate tower speakers, replaced 4 stock speakers with 4 wetsounds xs650, added a Kicker 8 channel amp. Installed a second battery with a battery charger, added an additional USB port to the passenger side. Installed the acme-2 drain flange light. Added boatbuckles to the trailer. Changed the plugs and had a hole in my tarp patched. Added the registration numbers. Heading to the lake of the Ozarks today, hoping to get out on the water a couple times. 39AFB0B2-1567-4CF7-B739-8FC04F3D4035.jpeg A3D798ED-7A2F-494F-AE32-25E83CEC038D.jpeg B4E6034B-68BD-481F-934B-F1056452D946.jpeg 8919F8D0-BA82-4E65-9AED-A9BB2D0C734E.jpeg 48C9A77E-8774-4B86-A999-2ED57A226891.jpeg 37888B4A-B854-482A-BFF8-423B84A799FE.jpeg 6DBA9406-EA36-4463-8527-21D092E7ADEE.jpeg A9B6063E-369E-45FE-BD60-900A4EC955BB.jpeg 57FECDE4-B3ED-4CDA-8227-6D568AE01678.jpeg D1ECC914-FCC3-4233-8FC7-12A907043A6C.jpeg 39AFB0B2-1567-4CF7-B739-8FC04F3D4035.jpegA3D798ED-7A2F-494F-AE32-25E83CEC038D.jpegB4E6034B-68BD-481F-934B-F1056452D946.jpeg8919F8D0-BA82-4E65-9AED-A9BB2D0C734E.jpeg48C9A77E-8774-4B86-A999-2ED57A226891.jpeg37888B4A-B854-482A-BFF8-423B84A799FE.jpeg6DBA9406-EA36-4463-8527-21D092E7ADEE.jpegA9B6063E-369E-45FE-BD60-900A4EC955BB.jpeg57FECDE4-B3ED-4CDA-8227-6D568AE01678.jpegD1ECC914-FCC3-4233-8FC7-12A907043A6C.jpeg

Don't know how much boating you will get in, supposed to rain and be cold, possible snow Sunday!

How dark is that? And what did it set you back? Tint is on my short list of mods.

5% and glad I did. Not nearly as dark in person as I was worried. Expensive $750, but I got the best Ceramic film. Also nobody I called wanted to do boats. This guy did great. The curve on the glass is REALLY hard to do. First guy I took it to gave up.

Ouch... better last the life of the boat for that price!

The first guys who came out the price was only half. But after 3 hours of trying to apply the film they eventually gave up...
