The official "What did you do to your jet boat today" thread.

Wow, quite the pile of goodies!

If you have spare room on your amp board, I ended up installing an extra cigarette lighter outlet behind the helm. I mounted my handheld there and wired the outlet to the accessory outlet on the dash. That way its always on board and charged, ready to grab if need be. Used this to mount it, and the clip that came with it is attached to the boat bag (if that radio has the standard clip mechanism).

New tires (Goodyear Endurance) last night and then took her to the dealer this morning to get the new fenders put on. 180 mile round trip to the dealer and the new tires are awesome. Pulls much better, less bounce and I'm almost certain my mpg is up noticeably from the bias ply tires. We'll see when I fill up.

That’s a lot of work there. Should be fun!

Finished the tab install yesterday.. Adjusted one nozzle angel that was off from the steering cable adjustment... Putting it in the water today to test for leaks and play with the tabs..

Delaware river mostly, also Mullica out to great bay

Nice. I’m near the northern side of great bay on the tuckerton side. I’m sure it will be warm up the Mullica. It’s always 5-10° warmer there than in great bay.

Have fun!

I’m contemplating swim deck speakers

Took to shop since it's raining. Hoping to change oil, clean it up, start it up, and just get odds and ends tied up to start bimini prep!

I’m always down to try new areas...how’s Tullytown Cove in the summer?

That's where I was today. It's a good time, usually gets decently crowded. Also a little further upriver by Bordentown there's a really nice sandbar at low tide.

Installed a new head unit and installed a swim deck remote.

The new HU is an infinty PRV-315. Due to the stock radio location, I didn’t have much choices for aftermarket HU’s. This new one had a volume knob, so I was sold (stock HU had + & - buttons for the volume). Plus this new HU has a connection for a wired remote.

Yeah I browse the Tullytown thread. I had a buddy with ski who used to go there.

We have a nice sandbar in tuckerton bay at low tide. I know you said you go to Great Bay. It’s just past the fish factory. During low tide it’s about the size of 5 football fields.

Got my numbers in

I vote it counts. But be very careful cutting holes if you decide to add a 10" subwoofer.

I spent a few hours moving my satellite radio antennae on top of the tow point on the tower and fishing the lead down the port rear tower tube. No pics but I’m still not done, the upper half was easy, getting the lead through the bottom of the lower tower mount and back into the boat has been tough. I also removed the rear view camera I had on the boat trailer since I sold the suv the harness and display were installed in.
One more thing to buy.

Is that lower section, below the weld where the mounting bolts are, hollow or solid? When I ran both my antenna wires in the tower, 07 AR230, exiting on the tower forward mounting location, I quickly detatched it to get a look. There was an existing hole in the tower base plate. I marked it on the hull so I could drill through the backing plate and FRP, so the cables could exit into the lockers, both port and starboard. There are two locations where the cables are visible, first where they enter the tower at the antenna and at the transition between upper and lower towers. I used large dia. grass trimmer string, .105+ " taped to the cables to fish it down the tubing. I made a custom hook in a short piece of high tensile wire to retrieve the trimmer string out the lower holes. A few pics.

I first tried the tape on the end of a string/vacuum method with no success, and then saw this aluminum slag as it was pushed out by the trimmer string.

Thanks @zipper . The lower part/below the weld on my tower is solid/billet. I was already thinking about doing what you did , drilling and using two small alternative holes for the satellite radio lead to pass though. I’m a little bummed that I won’t be able to route the lead with the other cables but I just don’t have much more time to spend on this.

Put my new registration sticker on. Ordered a Lucky13 pump cone as well......come on spring!
