Throttle Cable replacement costs

How much would it cost to get the throttle cables replaced on a 2010 AR240 ?

Do you mean throttle cables or reverse gate cables? Typically the throttle cables don't get exposed to the elements enough to need replacing.

If you go to a dealer, my guess on cost would be the following ($760 total):

1. $80 per cable ($160 total) -from Yamahasportsplaza - I had a dealer quote me double that once!
2. 3 hours of labor at $200/hour ($600 total) - labor rates and totals will be quite variable....this should be worst case

Or do it yourself for $45/cable - buying from somewhere like iboats - not the Yamaha part but still OEM. Total $100
