I remember when I was a kid some guy teasing my dad for strapping the back of our bit down to the trailer. He didn't use transom straps, he had a huge ratchet strap that he wrapped all the way over the boat and around the trailer frame, looking back, I don't know why he didn't just use transom straps, maybe he used both I just don't remember them.
But one day on the way to the lake the bow strap broke and that big ass strap kept the boat on the trailer
