Hey Guys - sold my business last August and bought a new 2016 AR240 last September and was on the water the day after I picked it up - well, I lost both of my parents over the winter and now my wife has developed some health problems - with this and handling my parents estate, I'm thinking (as much as I hate to) I might have sell the boat - thought about just leaving it in storage, but man, that always seems to be harder on things than running the pi** out of em!!

I didn't come here looking for sympathy, I'm not that way - the bottom line is, what do you think I should get for this boat? - has less than 50 hours on it, I have the premium cover and I got in on the group buy for the complete SeaDek (not installed yet)

I've really enjoyed this forum for the past 8-9 months - learned a lot and got a big kick out of all of you guys on here - hope you don't mind me hanging out, even if I end up selling the boat - who knows, things change, I could always get another one in a year or two!!

Shoot. Sorry to hear. Well, that's life!
If you are thinking of selling - this is the best time of year to do it, no doubt.
I would not venture to suggest a listing price, but your boat should already be listed in NADA which would be a good start.
That said, if you think you may be back in a year or two I would probably keep it for that long, many people have with no ill effects.

My 2008 sat from 09 till 15 on an indoor storage rack ... the only problem was the ant infestation.. sat by the previous owner..

This is from the NADA link in the FAQ. Something to go on. If you do sell it, I'd sell your Seadek (not installed yet) separately as you'd get more for it on its own that if you install it in your boat (my opinion).

You'll likely take a big hit on the depreciation in the time you've owned it....

Probably could sell the cover separate also - thing that was around $600

Where are u located?

Bummer (not on the Lansing part, but on the OP)! Sorry to hear that. I have no idea to your real question there, but I think I can speak on behalf of the congregation to say that you are welcome to hang out here with us. Who knows, some day we may convince you to get another... when times get a bit better.

Best of luck!

Sorry to hear about your situation. Keep the boat for the chance of a day away from things, that's why we have them in the first place! I typically run to craigslist and run searches and try to do comparisons for other machines like mine in the area. I would think somewhere in the high 40's would be a good starting place. You can always come down.

IF you decide to sell your sea dek, I would be interested in having a conversation with you about that.

Sorry to hear. You could always place it in storage and use it from some R&R with wife if her health allows it.

My 09 232 was purchased new in 2012 and it sat around on dealer lots for three years with no ill effects. If you do decide to keep it and store it, make sure it's inside. The guys on here have found several boats 2-3 years old with very few hours on them and haven't had any problems.
