What is the difference between a 2016 and a 2017 yamaha 190 FSH sport ?

Probably not much, if at all. We won't know until late August when the 2017's are announced by Yamaha. I think this is the year of the 21' boat refreshes based off rumors and my dealer. Everything else is probably minimal/appearance.

I was debating on buying now or waiting for the newer year extra and changes. Please let me know if you hear anything when they come out.

As soon as Yamaha does the dealer demo with the new models in late August you'll see info pop up on here. Personally since the FSH is one of the newer models I don't think you'll see a bunch of new features. Maybe some improvements based off customer feedback but I wouldn't expect a new hull or anything major. If it were me I'd go ahead and get a 2016 and enjoy the rest of the summer than wait until October when the new boats start shipping to dealers. All depends on how long you want to wait and how long your boating season is.

I waffled over waiting to buy my 2016 as well or wait for the 2017's but I wanted to boat now and based off this being the rumor for 21' boat refreshes, I don't think the 19' boats will see any big changes since they already did a refresh this year with the new tower and articulating rudder/keel.

Cup holders, 2016 has zero. 2017 has 7, have yet to have found photos....

And there is a new royal blue hull color and the new unblowable clean out port/plug. See the 2017 forum for details and my video on the plugs.

Yamaha didn't mention cup holders....but that would be a smart move!
