I always avoid saying it's a jet boat because I think people will think I have one of these. Not that there's anything wrong with the old Ski Doo jet boats, it just doesn't convey what I really have.
When I went to pay taxes on my boat, they thought it was a PWC..... I told them when I first came to the window I was here to pay taxes on my boat even.... All they saw was YAMAHA. Either way, I could give a damn.
Depends on who asks, but mostly I say I have a Yamaha ski boat, a majority of people that ask what kind of boat I have are already thinking of a fishing boat that's why I say ski boat, then if they show that they may have knowledge of boats I'll go into the Jetboat conversation.
When I get asked this question I always ask which one lol? When talking about the Yamaha I answer as many above posts a 24ft twin engine bow rider. Living at the coast if I say jet boat they all think I'm talking about a sea doo speedster or something similar.
