I have been boating with my extinguishers in the helm storage and battery compartment and need to get them mounted, just wondering where the best spots are within these areas? Thanks!

I have mine located in the same areas as yourself. When opening the door in front of the helm the first one is mounted just inside on the right. The second is mounted onto the seat over the batteries. I believe I used 3/4" screws to make sure to got a good bite but bit intrude into the cushion itself.
Neither mount has given me any problems and we are by no means afraid of the waves!
