hey everyone. Brand new here!

I have a 2005 seadoo challenger. We took it out once this year. The check engine light popped on when we were trailering it. Assuming it was low on gas. I went to winterize it the other day and nothing.

I have never done anything except winterize the boat.

The battery is charged,
Then I put the key on it, it beeps,
When I push start it, the motor hums.

I have no clue where to start. Can anyone point me in a right direction.

I'm not a Seadoo expert...but I assume the boat isn't in "gear" and the lanyard is attached? Next, I would be checking the battery connections to ensure they are tight and clean.

It does kind of act like it is in gear. to start, it needs to be in neutral. they lanyard as in the key? It is on and well. It is such a headache! I have moved it in and out. wiggle the throttle. I was hoping someone on here would have experienced an issue similar. There is very little seadoo boat info out there!

I have been running around like a chicken with my head cut off the last few weeks. I am moving states and we need to prep the house to sell it! I havent had any good time to dick around with it.

Lanyard as in the safety lanyard. I spent about fifteen embarrassing minutes at the ramp once trying to figure out why the damn boat wouldn't start. The safety lanyard appeared to be in but was just slightly out.

Haha! Mine is all in one. And pretty picky. If it’s off a little, it beeps like crazy at me! Nearest seadoo boat dealer is over an hour away!

Impeller could be hung up and rubbing but there could be so many other things as well. Just adding this and you may be able to remove the spark plugs and see if the impeller driveshaft spins freely
